Just a wide range of electric and acoustic childrens guitars for kids!
Luna Childrens Guitars for Kids
The Luna Guitar for Kids is a relatively new brand of stringed instruments, especially compared to brands such as Fender and Dean. Created in 2005 by designer Yvonne de Villiers, it actually comes under the same hood as Dean in that’s it’s also owned by Armadillo Enterprises. Along with guitars, they create a wide range of stringed instruments such as ukuleles, mandolins, basses and banjos.
The company actually has a known mission statement, in which they proclaim: “To craft fine stringed instruments with artistic sensibility that are comfortable, affordable, and inspire people of all ages and walks of life on their musical journey.” Pretty cool, huh? So do they live up to that statement and perhaps more specifically, to the part about “all ages”? Well, for the most part: yes!
They have a wide range of guitars aimed specifically for children (as well as other stringed instruments as mentioned above) including both electric and acoustic kids guitars. On the whole, some of their models rate very high in terms of customer feedback, often better than more famous brands. The designs are great so they look the part too. If you’re buying for a girl, perhaps your daughter, then she may be interested in a bright pink guitar that they offer? It makes a statement, that’s for sure! Alternatively they have other quirky designs along with the more “typical” style of both acoustic and electric guitar.
As for pricing, you’ll find the Luna guitars for kids are pretty competitive and on par with other brands. And similarly, the same can be said for the build quality. While much like any kids guitar, you do generally get what you pay for, it has to be said, some of the Luna guitars really are built to a good standard. It’s very reassuring.
In terms of choice, Luna doesn’t seem to offer as many guitars in their children’s range, but then again, a limited choice could be a good thing! Often it actually makes the buying process a lot harder than you want it to be when you’re faced with 20 different possibilities! Of course that’s where this site comes in and you should take the time to read our reviews of all the various kids guitars, including Luna.
Overall, if you like the sound of what Luna has to offer or you’ve already got your eye on a particular model and are wondering whether Luna is a good brand to go for, then you can feel pretty safe that by buying a Luna you will have made a good decision. If you can find a kids guitar by a more famous brand at the same price, then arguably you may want to go for that, but that’s only assuming that the other brand is famous for its quality.
If you’ve found a Luna guitar for your child, be it acoustic or electric and it seems likes it what you’re after, then to be honest, you’re probably right! For the most part, with Luna, you really can’t go wrong!
